OUR HISTORIC TIMELINE
- 2002 -
Softrans was founded in 2002 with the initial purpose of testing technical solutions for Softronic’s products.
- 2008 -
In 2008, Softronic Craiova presents the "Phoenix",
the first new electric locomotive built by the company.
- 2013 -
In 2013 Softronic completed its latest project, a low-floor, bi-system electric multiple units, capable of operating at both 25 kV AC 50 Hz and 3 kV DC.
- 2014 -
Also in 2014, the release of TM017 - version 2.0, with a new design as well as improved technical features.
- 2020 -
October 2020, Softronic and Green Cargo signet a framework agreenment for delivery of 100 locomotives until 2030.

- 1999 -
Established in Craiova Romania in 1999, with the main purpose of modernizing locomotives, Softronic continues today the city’s tradition of over 50 years in the construction of electric locomotives.
- 2003 -
One year later, the first locomotives began freight transport activities offering these services to more and more customers.
- 2010 -
In 2010, the first electric locomotive built in Romania with asynchronous traction motors was born, TRANSMONTANA.
- 2014 -
Softronic builds the 14th TRANSMONTANA, this being the first bi-system locomotive in the company's products.
- 2018 -
The first locomotives for Green Cargo (32 and 33) do the final tests before being delivered to Sweden.

This generation of locomotives are redesigned for temperatures of -40 * C as well as a coupling system that withstands 1500 kN force.
The first 2 locomotives from a batch of 5 units for LTE with ETCS system from Thales for Europe
