Founded in Craiova in 1999, with the primary activity of modernizing locomotives, Softronic continues the city’s tradition of over 50 years in the construction of electric locomotives.
Understanding the needs of private operators, we offer the Transmontana bi-system electric locomotive, perfectly adapted for transport in countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Turkey, etc.
In 2013, Softronic completed its newest project, the low-floor electric bi-system train, capable of operating both 25 kV AC 50 Hz and 3 kV DC. Our goal is to offer a wide range of services, such as: technology transfer anywhere in the world and the development of another factory.
Considering the significant growth in freight transport by rail as a sustainable mobility alternative, Softronic plays a key role in supporting the development of the manufacturing industry, which is on an upward path.
