Softronic delivers 2 new TransMontana locomotives to one of its most important clients, DB Cargo Romania

DB Cargo Romania strengthens its position as one of Softronic’s most important clients in Romania. The TransMontana TM 082 locomotive is scheduled for delivery at the end of December 2023 to the German railway operator in Romania, followed by a second TransMontana (TM 085) to be delivered at the end of April 2024.

With this, DB Cargo will reach a fleet of 27 new locomotives, acquired over approximately 10 years from Softronic Craiova.

Deutsche Bahn Cargo Romania, a subsidiary of DB Cargo AG, the largest rail freight carrier in Europe, has been present on the local market since 2000, providing shunting and freight transport services by rail, as well as railway personnel qualification schools for clients in various industries.

With a fleet spread across the entire Romanian railway network, consisting of over 70 locomotives, approximately 3,800 wagons, and more than 1,100 employees, DB Cargo Romania ensures high-quality, economically viable, environmentally friendly, and reliable national and international transport services.
