DB Cargo Romania acquires from Softronic Craiova the TransMontana 480-070, 480-072, and 480-073 locomotives.

At the beginning of 2023, DB Cargo Romania (Deutsche Bahn Cargo Romania) expanded its fleet with three additional TransMontana locomotives, bringing its total fleet to 26 brand-new asynchronous locomotives produced by Softronic.

The TRANSMONTANA locomotives, TM 067 (Mb 4017) and TM 068 (Mb 4018), have successfully completed endurance tests over a total distance of 890 km, covering the Cernele – Craiova – Bucharest Băneasa – Constanța route and back.

In 2019, TransMontana 480-019 from DB Cargo Romania successfully completed tests for NNTR (Romanian National Technical Standards) authorization in Bulgaria.

CONSTANTIN GRUP expands its fleet with two new TransMontana electric locomotives, 069 and 075, purchased from Softronic Craiova.

Today, a framework contract was signed between LTE Logistics & Transport Austria and Softronic Craiova for the acquisition of five TransMontana v3.2 locomotives.
